Dr. Gluck’s approach to weight loss is a combination of two sciences: the science of medical hypnosis and the science of Ultrametabolism. Medical hypnosis is based on neuroplasticity, or the brain’s ability to change the way it operates based on information it is fed. Ultrametabolism, which was developed by Dr. Mark Hyman, is the science of how the body uses food. The food plan is individualized and based on the foods you already eat and enjoy, so you don’t feel deprived or forced to eat foods you don’t like. The exercise plan is also based on what you like to do—and it takes less than 15 minutes a day. 15 minutes is enough to raise your metabolic rate so that you shed the pounds efficiently.
